Preparation for Worship - February 7

Time of Meditation 2 Chronicles 6:14
O LORD, God of Israel, there is no God like You, in heaven or on earth.

The Call to Worship from 1 Chronicles 16
LEADER: Sing to the LORD, all the earth!  Tell of His salvation from day to day.  Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous works among all the peoples!
PEOPLE: Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting!
LEADER: Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name; bring an offering and come before Him!  Worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness;  tremble before Him, all the earth;
PEOPLE: Amen!  Our LORD is Holy and full of Grace!
Opening Prayer
Creator, You have called us to worship and we have come to seek Your presence.  Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather and deliver us from among the nations, that we may give thanks to Your holy name, and glory in Your praise.  As we stand before the splendor of Your holiness, may You open our eyes that we may see wonderful things in Your law.  Increase our desire for personal holiness and make us eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace so that we may reflect the light of Your holiness in this fallen world.  This we ask in the name of our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus.  Amen.
